1. MATH: There will be no daily math homework in 4th grade. However, it is crucial that your child knows their basic math facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. On days before a test, students will be asked to look over their review packet. Reviewing math skills via Prodigy is a fun math program that can always give them a little boost as well! Prodigy Math will always be updated to match the curriculum that we are currently working on.
2. Nightly Reading Requirements: In order to develop strong reading skills, students are required to read a MINIMUM of 30 minutes every night.
3. There will be plenty of opportunities to get school work done during the day. Any unfinished school work will be completed during the student's Quiet Time, second recess, or we can fit it in during other parts of the day. If the work does not get done in school, then it will be sent home as homework.
4. Quiet Time: Students will have 15 minutes of quiet study hall time in order to complete any assignments they may have. If they are all caught up on work, they may use this time to hone skills such as typing, math, creative writing, drawing, reading, or just resting!
